y/AUXHALL has announced a new model based on the Cresta range—the, Vauxhall Viscount. The Viscount is said to be the safest and most luxurious model yet produced by Vauxhall. The Viscount has automatic transmission and power steering as standard, together with power-operated windows and additional sound insulation.

All other luxury features, such as heater, face-level ventilation, reversing lights and screenwashers are also fitted. The electric buttons for the four windows are mounted on a console over the transmission tunnel, where they are in reach of either the driver or the front passenger. Switches on the rear doors allow independent control of the rear windows. The individual front seats are reclining, and all seats are upholstered in leather.
