(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) CANBERRA, June 16. The Federal Government today banned the import of drugs which can produce hallucinaations.

The Minister for Customs and Excise, Senator K. Anderson, said written permission would be needed to import the drugs, which include lysergide (LSD 25), mescaline, psilocin and psilocybin. The new controls would put these substances on the same basis as narcotic drugs.
