The Christchurch Savage Club held its fourth korero in the Scottish Society’s hall. Mr E. G. Bonniface, a past chief of the club, who joined in 1929 and was president in 1948, presided. Members of the club presented a programme of vocal instrumental and sketch items. Savage M. Brown was the musical director and Great Chief G. B. Wilson conducted the orchestra for one item. Soloists were Savages J. Mason and I. Kinraid (songs), E. Truscott (clarinet). B. Whelan (piano), S. Crisp (accordion) and Savages W. Rowe, M. Campbell and N. Havord (sketches). The orchestra accompanied Savages S. Creagh, M. Smith, and C. Ironside in a trumpet voluntary. Savage G. Russell accompanied the other items.
