Divorce Petition Defended
The hearing of a defended suit in divorce began before Mr Justice Macarthur in the Supreme Court, yesterday, and may last until tomorrow. The petitioner is William Donk, a painter (Mr A. D. Holland) who seeks divorce from his wife, Maria Geertruida Donk (Mr R. G. Blunt) on the ground of her alleged adultery—which is denied—with Harold Joseph Voice, a poultry farmer (Mr G. S. Brockett). Donk was in the witness-box all day yesterday, being cross-examined at length by Me Blunt and Mr Brockett.
