French Oaks To Fine Pearl
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) PARIS. Fine Pearl, owned by Baroness Geoffrey de Waldner and ridden by J. Massard, won the £47,000 French Oaks—the Prix De Diane —over one mile and a quarter at Chantilly on Sunday. Second, one and a half lengths behind, was Mr Gonzague Flipo’s Bergame, ridden by the English jockey, J. Lindley. L. Piggott, the British champion, was third, a further half a length away, on Madame Leon Volterra’s Sweet Sauce.
