CABLE TO T.U.C.
F.O.L Receives No Reply (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 13. The president of the Federation of Labour (Mr T. E. Skinner) said tonight that no reply had been received from the Trade Unions Congress in Britain about the seamen’s strike. The F.O.L. sent a cable to the T.U.C. last Thursday asking its attitude to the seamen’s request for active support and the boycotting of British ships. Mr Skinner said the F.O.L. would continue to be guided by the T.U.C.’s response to the situation. The British seamen have failed so far to win active support from the T.U.C. and the International Transport Workers’ Federation.
