Octopuses Aid To Research
(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, June 12. Scientists at the Imperial College of Science and Technology will use octopuses to discover how the human brain works. “The octopus is a clever animal and its brain is divided into clearly discernible areas, or lobes, each controlling a separate function, such as seeing or using its tenacles,” says a spokesman. Fishermen, who used to toss them back into the sea, are now paid £1 each one they catch.
