102-Year-Old Recalls Kelly
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, June 13. A woman at Wentworth Falls in Sydney’s Blue Mountains celebrated her 102nd birthday yesterday. Miss Jemina Campbell, who has been in Australia for the last 82 years, has good hearing and eyesight although she is a patient in hospital at Wentworth Falls. Glasgow born, Miss Campbell said she remembered the day when Queen Victoria visited Edinburgh. In Melbourne Mrs Alice Wallace, of Elgar Hospital, Burwood celebrated her 100th birthday and said she remembered the day when Ned Kelly was captured. The memory was distinct she said, because it coincided with a school holiday.
