Car Plunges Into Avon
The two occupants of a car which plunged into the Avon river from Avonside drive about 11 p.m. yesterday were admitted to the Christchurch Hospital, and one of them, a man, was placed on the seriously ill list. Their names had not been released early this morning. The accident happened near the Dallington bridge. The front of the car was submerged in the water, which is fairly shallow there.
