When not being used for stock, the rear gate may be completely removed leaving both ends and one side In place. The ends may also be removed, leaving only one side in place, or the complete pen can be taken off. This leaves the bare platform available for general carrying. The ends of the timber platform are securely bolted between a metal strip and the angle base. The complete pen when detached from the utility tray can be used as a separate holding or mothering pen.
