Parliament’s Diary
A report by Government experts on radioactive contamination from nuclear weapons was tabled by the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) when Parliament resumed yesterday morning. Dr. A. M. Finlay (Opp. Waitakere) gave notice of a motion calling upon all members, when elected, to table a list stating their private interests. In the address-in-reply debate the speakers were: Government: Mr J. R. Harrison (Hawke's Bay), Sir Leslie Munro (Waipa), Mr W. B. Tennent (Manawatu), Mr G. A. Walsh (Tauranga), Mr A. D. Dick (Waitaki), the Minister of Housing (Mr Rae), Mrs R. M. Stevenson (Taupo).
Opposition: Mr R. M. Macfarlane (Christchurch Central), Mr M. A. Connelly (Riccarton), Mr W. W. Freer (Mount Albert), Mr N. J. King (Waitemata), Mr C. J. Moyle (Manakau).
