Christchurch Customs
Customs revenue collected in Christchurch in May rose to £1.091,000 from £933,308 in the same month last year. Customs and excise, £769,340 (against £632,313 in Maylast year); sales tax, 319,240 (£291,659 and light dues £2157 (£1149) all rose, but only £263 was raised in miscellaneous duties compared with £7919.
