On The Move
The University club badminton player, R. Stanton, has been moving back and forth like a shuttlecock between Cowles Stadium and the Skellerup Hall on the last two Tuesday nights.
On both occasions he has appeared for a University team in an inter-club badminton match in the hall and for the 1.8. M. senior reserve men’s basketball side in the adjacent stadium. This has involved him playing a men’s doubles in badminton, followed by a quick sprint and a change of garb for a 35-minute basketball game. Then he returns to his whites and sandshoes for two further badminton games. Stanton was easily identified at Skellerup Hall after a recent senior badminton fixture. He was slumped in a chair with a badminton racket in one hand and a bright orange basketball in the other.
