Coxon was equal fourth, only three strokes behind the leaders, after the first round of the £2500 professional golf tournament at Malone, near Belfast, on Thursday. COxon, with a 71, shared fourth with three other players and was ahead of the top British golfers including G. Wolstenhohne on 72, B. Hunt on 75, and C. O’Connor on 76. Leading the field are B. Barnes and B. Kissock on 68. Next is P. Skerritt on 70.
