Trainers Seek Delay (N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyriqht) MELBOURNE Victorian racehorse trainers want the V.R.C. and V.A.T.C. to delay taking entries for the Caulfield Cup and Melbourne Cup until September. "The present scheme of lak Ing entries for the cups early In June is outdated and ridiculous and only helps doubles bookmakers." the secretary of the Victorian Trainers' Associ ation (Mr L. Schemnltz) said on Tuesday. "We are deeply concerned about several aspects of nom ination times and last Friday we approached the V.A.T.C. pro gramme committee on several points," Mr Schemnitz said. Entries for the cups will close on June 7.
