It’s present population of approximately 60,000 people is expected to grow at the rate of over 5 per cent per annum to 95.000 over the next 10 years. Its large industrial and commercial expansion, added to army and university development programmes, will provide an interesting challenge to any well qualified Town Planning Officer.
