Share Market Drifting As Trading Ends
Drifting to a close, the New Zealand market got no support from overseas stocks in yesterday’s trading, but this section of the list was relatively inactive. Turn-over was moderate over a narrower range. Most moves were small.
New Zealand Breweries recovered Id to sell at 15s 7d, A.C.I. continued climbing and closed 3d up at 51s, while Fletcher, at 18s 4d, N.Z. Forest Products at 23s Bd. United Empire Box at 10s 3d, and G. J. Coles at Ils sd, each rose 2d. Whitcombe and Tombs recovered 3d to 18s.
