TO RETIRE.—The Most Rev. H. R. Gough, Archbishop of Sydney and Primate of Australia since 1959, who has resigned because of ill health. He is 60 and has been in England, where he has been receiving medical attention, since March. His resignation takes effect from the end of this month.
