U.S. Lifts Travel Ban

The United States was now prepared to allow Congressmen to travel to China if they could obtain a visa from Peking, the State Department said yesterday. The move was seen as a further easing of the stringent United States regulations which have generally barred Americans from travelling to China.
A department spokesman said the policy now was to authorise visits by those whose travels were in the national interest
