Basketball Points
The Canterbury captain, R. Entwistle (Y.M.C.A.), and the former New Zealand University representative, W. E Smith (University B), lead the points scoring in the A grade men’s basketball competition after one complete round. Both have scored 73 points. Other players to have reached the halfcentury are C. P. Dyson (Burnham) 68, A Hounsell (High School Old Boys) 58, J. Stead (University A) 54, M. Askew 50. Of the six players to have reached 50, three, Smith, Dyson and Stead, are not available to represent Canterbury.
