U.S. DROPS CHARGE
Stowaway By i Air Freight f.V.Z P A.-Renter—Copyright) SAN FRANCISCO, May 25. The United States Government has announced in San Francisco that it has dropped a stowaway charge against Richard E. Fox, the 23-year-old American who had himself shipped air freight from Sydney to San Francisco last October.
A Government spokesman said Fox has paid Qantas Airlines the 447 dollars charge for air freight. If the government had decided to proceed against Fox it would have had to pay for the fares of four witnesses from Australia.
