Delay Costs £700
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 16. A contract to build the £64,000 grandstand at Mt. Smart stadium has been let and work will begin on June 15. The grandstand was the centre of a controversy a year ago when the Government deferred the building permit for a year. The cost of the building has since risen from £63,500 to £64,200, said the Mt. Smart Domain Board secretary (Mr I. A. Webb) today.
