Pyramus By Two Lengths (N.Z. Press Association) SYDNEY. The Lord Mayor’s Cup, 10 furlongs, at RosehUl on Saturday was won by the New Zea-land-bred horse, Pyramus (11/4), which beat Plenty (8/1) by two length®, with Loona Boy (12/1) three-quarters of a length away thdrd. Pyramus, a three-year-old Agricola-Mines gelding, was bought as a yearling in New Zealand by the trainer, T. J. Smith. Smith said after the race that Pyramus would go to. Brisbane for the two-mMe Brisbane Cup at Eagle Farm on June 13. 'lPyramus has just come good,” he said % "Until now he has been suffering with a series of minor troubles, and I haven’t been able to get him really night." Smith cadd he thought Pyramus was nearly ae good as another New Zealand-bred three-year-old, Prince Grant, which won the Sydney Cup. Pyramus carried 7-13 on Saturday and win drop to 7-7 in the Brisbane Cup.
