(N.Z. Press Association) NELSON. With two rounds to go, W. O’Malley (Christchurch), the former New Zealand champion, seemed set to win or draw the 1966 national draughts championships at Nelson from A. Hrstich (Auckland), the 1965 champion. At the end of the thirteenth round, O'Malley had 22 J points and Hrstich 18}. In third place were T. Leathern (Wellington) and W. Cibilic (Auckland), on 17 points. J. Williamson (Wellington), on 16}, headed C. Johnstone (Feilding) by a halfpoint.
