Request By Students
“The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND, May 15. The Auckland University student executive will ask the university administration to require Mr D. Godfrey to take his units extramurally. Extra mural students enrol and sit examinations, but do not attend lectures. Mr Godfrey is the person whom the university newspaper “Outspoke” recently alleged had been working as a security agent among fellow students while enrolled himself as a student. The student president, Mr R. Wood, said students were not happy with the statement on the matter made by the Vice-Chancellor, Mr K. J. Maidment, after his investigation. The statement bad been ambiguous. Mr Wood said Mr Maidment would be asked to make it clear to the public whether the allegations were true or false.
Fall From Ladder.—When he fell about 12ft from a ladder at Railways Department premises in Ensors road about midday on Saturday, Sidney Husband, of 37 Rutherford street, suffered head injuries. He was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital.
