First Concert Of Season
The Christchurch Liederkranzehen, conducted by Clifton Cook, will give the first concert of its 1966 season in University Hall next Saturday.
The programme includes works by Franz Schubert, Eric Thiman, Alec Rowley and Gordon Jacob. The choir will Sing “The Lord is my Shepherd” by Franz Schubert in memory of Alice Stubberfield, a former member of the choir and for many years accompanist and deputy conductor. The soloist from the choir is Ngaire Johnston and the guest artist will be Anson Austin.
