Company To Press For Freezing Works Licence

(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, April 25. “We must fight for our goal,” the deputy chairman of the Central Otago Farmers' Freezing Company (Mr L. A. Bleach) told more than 50 shareholders at the company's annual meeting at Omakau. The shareholders endorsed his arguments and unanimously agreed to a recom-

mendation that the company should apply for an abattoir with an export licence for Central Otago. They also agreed to ask shareholders to take out more shares in the company to enable investigations to be continued.

Mr R. R. Hore reviewed the company's efforts to obtain a freezing works licence. It had now had a flat refusal from the Meat Board and it was anticipated that the Minister of Agriculture would accept the board's recommendation, he said.
