Wedding Stopped
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) MESSINA (Sicily), April 22. Italy’s “most married man” Aldo Donati, aged 44, went on trial yesterday charged with fraud, false pretences—and bigamy. Between 1949 and 1964, he went through marriage ceremonies in various parts of Italy with five women, passing himself off on different occasions as a doctor and a N.A.T.O. officer, the court was told. When arrested in Messina he was about to marry for the sixth time—to a schoolmistress.
The prosecution asked for a psychiatrist’s report, and the trial was adjourned.
