SECOND WIN
Suburbs Not Inspired SUBURBS 13: L. Davis try, P. Carlsen try, K. Nicholas 2 conversions and penalty goal. SYDENHAM 3: D. M. Anderson try. Suburbs recorded' its second win of the season when It beat Sydenham in unimpressive fashion at Sunnyside on Saturday. Sydenham had the better of play in the forwards, but lack of penetration in- the backs cost it any chance of shoring. The Suburbs' back-line performed well and its attack was varied well by the inside backs. Bad passes and IM directed kicking, however, hatted many scoring chances. Sydenham goallolckers missed several easy penalties which could have lifted the team's performance.
For Sydenham A. L. Jolley played weM at lock and was a major force in the line-outs while D. Gallop ran well! at second five-eighths. As well as kicking seven points, K. Nicholas Was generally safe at full-back for the winners.
