We have been favoured with instructions from MR R. F. GOULD, of Hunter, Waimate, to offer at auction his polled beef ■ herd and progeny. The herd comprises: FEMALES: 2 Eighteen months Heifers (empty). i 2 Two and a half year old Heifers (in calf). 2 Cows, sixth calvers (foundation cows, in calf). 2 Heifer Calves. BULL CALVES: 2 White Bull Calves. HERD SIRE: 1 Four and a half year old White Stud Bull (P.). “Belle Vue Fascinate,” bred by James Geaney, Makikihi. NOTE: This herd was founded with the purchase of two registered polled Heifer calves from the dispersal sale of the “Edradynate” beef stud of Messrs H. R. and D. A. Scott, of Ashburton, and the sire "Edradynate Knight 11th.” The present herd sire, “Belle Vue Fascinate,” was bred by James Geaney, esq., and sired by “L. F. Fascinate,” imported by Dy. sarts, of Seddon, and later herd sire at Makikihi. The cattle have been inspected for transfer by the herd society and can be recommended to intending purchasers of polled beef cattle. Mated cattle have been depastured with “Belle Vue Fascinate” from November 11, 1965. Catalogues are being compiled with pedigrees and will be available on application from the auctioneers and on sale day.
