The appointee will be expected to take up duty as soon as possible. Applicants should have a degree in Forestry or a related subject (e.g. botany, agriculture, pedology). Research experience in one of the following fields would be an advantage: (1) Tree breeding and genetics. (2) Soil development, classification and micro-biology. <3 Climatology. Whilst the appointee will be required to give some lectures and to assist with the organisation of practical classes, there will be opportunity for research and for co-operative investigations with staff members and research workers attached to the Department.
