INSURANCE LOSSES
U.K. Crime Spreading (Special Crspdt. N.ZP..4) LONDON, April 21. Insurance companies in Britain are increasing burglary insurance premiums and insist on more security precautions because of a 16 per cent increase in crime losses. The main risks are jewellers, furriers, banks and tobacco and spirit warehouses. Organised crime has spread from the big cities to other areas linked by motorways and trunk roads.
