ANTI-TOUR SLOGANS
Fence Daubed At Raceway
Slogans, “Oppose British Royalty,” and “Q. M. Go Home,” were paint :d on the fence at the curve going out of the straight at the Addington Raceway last evening. The Queen Mother is to attend a Royal trotting meeting at the raceway this afternoon.
The slogans were seen by the raceway security patrol about 9 p.m. The police were called in, and a young man was later arrested. He will appear in the Magistrate’s Court this morning. Another young man was still being questioned at the Central Police Station late last evening.
The slogans will be painted out this morning.
