ROYAL ITINERARY

The Queen Mother will be in Christchurch today and tomorrow. She will be publicly welcomed this morning at Victoria square, and will spend the afternoon at a Royal trotting meeting at the Addington Raceway. race, Colombo street, Cambridge terrace. 11.15 a.m.: Public welcome at “The Limes” site for new town hall. 12 p.m.: Leave for Addington Raceway by car, by way of Cambridge terrace, Colombo street, Oxford terrace, Hagley avenue, Lincoln and Wrights roads. 12.15 p.m.: Arrive Addington Raceway for Royal trotting meeting. 4 p.m.: Leave by car to rejoin the Britannia at Lyttelton, by way of Wrights and Lincoln roads, Moorhouse avenue, Ferry and Tunnel roads, road tunnel, Norwich quay, and the railway overbridge. 4.25 p.m.: Arrive alongside the Britannia. 6 p.m.: Reception aboard the Britannia.

The Queen Mother will dine privately on board.

TOMORROW

10.35 a.m.: Leave by car for Christchurch Cathedral, by way of railway overbridge, Norwich quay, road tunnel. Dyers road, Linwood avenue, Worcester street, Cathedral square.

10.55 a.m.: Arrive Christchurch Cathedral for divine service.

12.5 p.m.: Leave by car for Britannia, by way of Cathedral square, Colombo street. Thorrington and Cashmere roads. Princess Margaret Hospital grounds, Cashmere. Centaurus, Port Hills and tunnel roads, road tunnel, Norwich quay, railway overbridge. 12.35 p.m.: Arrive alongside Britannia. The Queen Mother will lunch and dine privately on board.

9 p.m.: Britannia sails for Wellington.
