LISBON, April 22
Rhodesian sugar was offered for sale in Lisbon yesterday, for the first time since Mr Smith’s Government seized independence from Britain last November.
The Portuguese firm, Ventreposto Mercantil, offered to supply 15.000 tons of Rhodesian sugar.
Earlier yesterday the Portuguese Grocers’ Guild announced it had received several offers for the purchase of 15,000 tons of raw sugar.
