Good Preparation By Careen, Cinnaman
(From Our Own Reporter) BLENHEIM.
Careen and Cinnaman will leave Blenheim today on their way to Auckland where they will compete at the Royal meeting at Ellerslie early next month. Careen continued her preparation for the £2OOO Glamis Stakes, a mile weight-for-age event for three-year-old fillies and mares, by sprinting half a mile in 51sec on the plough at Waterlea yesterday morning, She was ridden by J. A. Messent. Her race-rider at Auckland will be N. Eastwood.
Cinnaman. which will resume as a ’chaser in the Balmoral Steeplechase at Auckland, worked solidly over a mile and a half on the same track. He, too, ran his last half-mile in 51sec. J. A. Messent rode Cinnaman yesterday morning, but J. H. Hely will ride him at Auckland. On the trip north both horses will be in the care of their Blenheim trainer, R. B. Taylor. With his race-rider, W. Dymond, up he ran seven furlongs in Imin 29 l-ssec and came his last half-mile in 50sec.
Deladana,” a fresh runner for the Stewards’ Handicap tomorrow, worked over a
round on the course proper, but was only at speed from the home turn. She rushed over her last two furlongs in 24 2-ssec ridden by her racerider, R. K. Moir.
