Still Hoping For Charters
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 21. The Golf Association has not given up its fight for suitable sports club liquor charters. “We regret there has been no success but there will be more movements in the near future," Mr G. P. Roberts, chairman of the council, told the annual meeting today. Last year, the Golf Association and the Bowls Association sent a deputation on sports club liquor licensing to the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) and the Attorney-Gene-ral (Mr Hanan).
