RELATIVES MAY MEET
Man Found Letter
A brother-in-law. aged 70, and a sister-in-law who have never met will possibly do so in Christchurch soon. In a letter to “The Press,” Mrs A. Jennings, of Margate Beach, Queensland, asked whether any of her late husband’s relatives, particularly her brother-in-law, Mr F. Jennings, still lived in Christchurch. After inquiries, Mr Frank Jennings, of Avonhead road, was found to be Mrs Jennings’s. Mr Jennings was delighted to hear of the inquiry, but sorry to learn that his brother was dead. Mr Jennings said the last time he had seen his brother was in 1917. He and his brother went to Queensland when he was 17 and worked on the State railway until the war. He then went overseas and when he returned, came to New Zealand with his younger brother to see their father in Christchurch.
