The leading teams, Hornby, Addington, Sydenham and Linwood, are expected to retain their records when the second Rugby League championship round is played at the Show Grounds tomorrow.

'prove too strong for Papanui. I The Respective goal-kickers, J. C. Hawthorne (Papanui), land P. M. V. White, are in j rare form and their accuracy could have a great bearing on the game. In the main match the youthful Sydenham back-line will probably be too good for I a Marist back-line that has proved much too slow in getting the ball to the wings this season. P. V. Smith is expected to assume his representative position of fullback and his could be an unenviable position if gaps occur. Sydenham has an aggressive pack but Marist should hold its own in this sphere. The match should be an attractive one with Sydenham favoured to continue its revival.
