Two Houses Sold
A stone-veneer bungalow, about two years old, at 65 Baynes street, Burwood, was sold for £3330 at public auction yesterday. On a section of 24 6 perches, the house has three bedrooms, living room and kitchen. It was a mortgagee's sale. A bungalow at 8 Nelson street, Riccarton, was sold for £3650 by the estate of A. W. Bennett. The weatherboard house has two bedrooms, sunroom, bathroom, lounge, kit-chenette-dinette, and laundry. There is also a workshop on the section of 40 perches. Both sales were held by Ford and Hadfield, Ltd. An old house, in need of repair, on a section of 40 perches, zoned residential B, at 45 Lawrence street, Linwood, was passed in at £l3OO. The auctioneer was Mr R. G. Bell. The house has two bedrooms, lounge, living room and kitchen. »
