Stolen Car In Harbour

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 11. A car, valued at about £450, which was stolen from Point Chevalier on Sunday night was found this afternoon in shallow water in the Auckland Harbour Board’s lighter basin. It was winched up a 12ft wall to the road.

The car had struck a large floating log when it was pushed into the basin and the roof and front of the vehicle were extensively damaged. The car is owned by Mr A. Walshaw. of Wellington. He had planned to drive it back to Wellington tomorrow.
