World Cup On TV
Sir,—At the moment quite a few articles are being written about soccer’s World Cup in the daily papers. It has been mentioned that there will be world-wide television coverage of this great event on the soccer calendar. I, and no doubt others, would be interested to learn what coverage we are to get on television in New Zealand. —Yours, etc., SOCCER FAN. April 1, 1966. [Mr K. M. Hay, district manager of the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation, replies: “We are negotiating for film coverage of the semi-final and final matches of the World Cup series but no firm arrangements have yet been made.”]
