Timaru XV In Semi-Final
(N.Z. Press Association) TIMARU. Timaru Celtic won its way into a semi-final with a late burst of scoring against Gore St. Mary’s on the first day of the South Island Catholic Rugby tournament at Timaru on Saturday. Greymouth Marist, which beat Dunedin, 8-3, was the other team to reach the semifinals, and it plays Timaru Celtic today. Other results were: Gore St. Mary’s 3, Hokitika St. Mary’s 0: Timaru Celtic 11, Nelson Celtic 0; Invercargill Marist 19, Ashburton Celtic 3; Christchurch Marist 17, Blenheim Marist 3.
