Few Motor Accidents In Week-End

Three persons were admitted to hospital with injuries suffered in motor accidents during the week-end. Six persons were treated for Injuries. The SL John Ambulance Brigade and the police reported that there were remarkably few accidents for a holiday week-end. Car Rolls Over.—Three persons were injured when a car rolled over at Teddington early yesterday afternoon. John Muller, of 23 Boundary road, Nelson, was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital suffering from head injuries. Alan Guy Simpson, of Nelson, suffered minor abrasions and Robyn Barbara Moore, of 27 Joyce crescent, a minor injury to the back. They were treated at the Christchurch Hospital.

Shoulder Injuries.—Lorna Wicks, of 29 Glen road. Wellington, was treated at the Christchurch Hospital for an injury to the left shoulder after two cars collided at the corner of Winchester and Rugby streets on Saturday afternoon.

Child Injured.—Todd Phillips, of 27 Grenville street, suffered head injuries when four cars collided at the corner of Cathedra square and Worcester street at 4.40 p.m. on Saturday. He was treated at the Christchurch Hospital.

Abrasion. —After a car rolled over at Halswell late on Saturday afternoon, Bruce Alexander Kane, of 262 Lyttel-

ton street, was treated at the Christchurch Hospital for a minor abrasion to the forehead. Car Hits Pole.—Thomas Cloudesley, of 62 Stanbury street, was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital suffering from head and leg injuries after a car struck a pole in Stanbury avenue about 7.5 a.m. yesterday. Leg Injuries.—When he fell off a motor-scooter at the corner of Heaton street and Strowan road about 1 a.m. yesterday, Tu Nguyen, of 120 Salisbury street, suffered leg injuries; He was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital. Plunged 300 ft Three men had a narrow escape when their rental car plunged over an almost sheer 300 ft drop on the NapierWairoa road early on Saturday morning. Mr R. W. Henson, of Foxton, was admitted to the Napier Hospital suffering with multiple bruising and concussion, and was later discharged. Messrs R. H. Zimmerman, of Foxton, and B. W. Pillips, of Lower Hutt, were treated for minor cuts. The accident happened near Tongoio, about 15 miles from Napier, about 2.45 a.m.

Hole-In-One.-—P. Blight aced the 115 yd third hole at Waitikiri on Sunday.
