H-BOMB LEA VES SPAIN

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) MADRID, April 10. The American H-bomb missing under the sea for 80 days was taken back home last night. The submarine rescue ship Petrel carried it

from the Gulf of Vera and set course for the United States. Escorting it on the departure were were some nine other ships which had helped in the long search. The bomb was winched out of the sea last Thursday and loaded aboard the Petrel.

Cheers and jeers went up as the Petrel sailed. Reporters who were permitted to look at the bomb from a discreet distance described it as a silver ■ coloured object about 10ft long and dented at one end. On shore, the United States Air Force disi

mantled its search headquarters camp on the beach and prepared to leave. In a few more days all that will be left of the search force will be a small office where residents can claim for losses suffered in the 80 days’ upheaval. >
