Orders were flashed to British warships off Mozambique today to stop ships going to Beira with oil for Rhodesia. A signal went to the commander-in-chief of British Middle East Forces based in Aden after the United Nations granted Britain’s request to use force if necessary to stop ships believed to be carrying oil to Rhodesia from reaching Beira.
