BEEF CUTS COMPETITION.—This photograph was taken during the beef cuts competition held recently by the Methven Agricultural and Pastoral Association at Borthwicks’ Belfast works. At last week’s Canterbury chiller-type competition a change to a cuts competition was strongly urged. The Methven association has been a pioneer in the field of cuts competitions in Canterbury—both in beef and lamb. In the photograph the cuts can be seen on display on the table.
