INJURED ON ROADS
Five Admitted To Hospital
Five persons were injured when a car overturned at Bumham about 6 p.m. yesterday. Gladys Tie, of 293 Armagh street, was admitted to the Princess Margaret Hospital with head and leg injuries, and Dawn Marie Reed, of 263 Armagh street, was admitted with head injuries. The other persons in the car were treated and discharged. Harold Nelson, of 31 Rangiora terrace, Nelson, suffered chest injuries in a collision between a car and a bus at Kaikoura last evening. He was taken by a St. John ambulance to the Christchurch Hospital, where his condition last evening was fair.
Philip Hughes, of 298 Waterloo road, suffered head injuries when his motor-cycle hit a zone signal in Racecourse road, Sockbum. about 6 p.m. yesterday. He was taken by a St. John ambulance to the Princess Margaret Hospital, where his condition last evening was satisfactory. Donald Cut,bush, of 451 Worcester street, suffered head injuries when his car hit a power pole at the comer of North parade and Randal street about 9 p.m. yesterday. He was admitted to the Princess Margaret Hospital. His condition last evening was satisfactory.
