S.A. Cabinet Reshuffled

(A’.Z.P.A. Reuter—Copyright > PRETORIA, April 5. The South African Prime Minister, Dr. Hendrik Verwoerd last night announced an extensive Cabinet reshuffle after his National Party’s overwhelming victory in the recent General Elections.

Mr Jim Couche. formerly the Defence Minister, becomes Minister of Agricultural Technical Services and Water Affairs in one of the major changes. Senator Jan de Klerk relinquishes the key interior portfolio. but remains the Minister of Education, Arts and Science and gains the portfolio of Information. Two New Ministers Mr M. C. Botha, former Deputy Minister for Bantu Administration and Development,

becomes Minister of Bantu Administration and Development and also of Bantu Education. The portfolio of Bantu Administration and Development was formerly held by Mr Daan de Wet Nel. who earlier this year announced his retirement. The second new minister is Mr M. Viljoen, former Deputy Minister of the Interior. Education, Arts and Science and Labour and Immigration, who now becomes Minister of Labour and of Coloured Affairs.
