STARTING SALARIES
The New Zealand Postprimary Teachers’ Association has compared starting salaries in the Public Service
and in teaching for university graduates with various degrees:-
“When one considers. In addition, that district senior Inspectors (Primary and Postprimary) receive as much as the head of a grade VI school, a senior inspector as much as the head of a grade IV and
an inspector more than the head of a grade 111, perhaps the Public service is not so unattractive after all (home science persons, excepted, of course!),’’ says the association.
